Recognition:
James Davis, who is retiring as a bus driver at the end of this school year, was recognized for his 45 years of service to the Warren County R-III School District. Mr. Davis started teaching at Daniel Boone in 1974, taught at Holstein in 1975, 1976, and 1977, then back to Daniel Boone, and finally to Rebecca Boone. He started driving a bus in 1977 and was both driving and teaching until he retired from teaching in 2003. On behalf of the Warren County R-III School District, thank you for your years of service, Mr. Davis. Mr. Davis is pictured with Board President John Clinger.

Elijah Peth/Kaylie Loopstra Daniel Boone Elementary
Elijah Peth had the highest math MAP score for the 2017-2018 school year at Daniel Boone Elementary. Elijah will have the Daniel Boone office named after him. Kaylie Loopstra had the highest reading MAP score at Daniel Boone Elementary. Kaylie will have the library named after her. Elijah and Kaylie are pictured with Board President John Clinger.

Piper Moellering/Kameryn Demma Rebecca Boone Elementary
Piper Moellering had the highest MAP score for Math at Rebecca Boone Elementary and the office will be named after her. Kameryn Demma had the highest MAP score for ELA and will have the library named after him.

Max Teson/Cameron Molitor Warrior Ridge Elementary
Max Teson had the highest 4th grade MAP scores at Warrior Ridge and will have the library named after him. Cameron Molitor had the highest 3rd grade MAP scores and will have the office named after him.

Congratulations to Janelle Stanek, who has been hired as the Summer School/Care Day Coordinator for the district starting with the 2019-2020 school year. She currently serves the district as the Assistant Principal at Warrior Ridge Elementary.

Congratulations to Jessica Rhodes, who has been hired as the interim assistant principal at Black Hawk Middle School for the 2019-2020 school year. She is currently a math teacher at Black Hawk Middle School.

Congratulations to Katty Bulkley on her promotion to Custodial Supervisor.

Welcome aboard Holly Kohler. Holly has been hired as a lunchroom monitor at Rebecca Boone Elementary.

Congratulations to Pamela Eldridge on her retirement from her position as a special education teacher at Rebecca Boone Elementary at the end of the year.

Superintendent Reports:
Dr. Klinginsmith introduced Dr. Sandra Borgman, Director of Special Services, to present a report on her department. The report is available for viewing on Board Docs.

Softball Field Update:
This is a contract with Houska, Inc to install the new softball field for a total of $128,950.68.  Approximately $107,400 will be paid for our of the remaining 2016 Bond Issue funds. The remaining will be paid for out of the capital projects fund. 

Staffing Plan:
The board approved the recommended staffing plan for the 2019-2020 school year. The plan, which can be viewed on Board Docs, is expected to save the district approximately $425,000 compared to staffing expenses from the 2018-2019 school year.
Reductions will be done via attrition.

Policy Approvals:
Policy INC was approved. This policy requires that an outside guest speaker at the graduation ceremony be a Warren County R-III graduate.

Multiple policies as recommended by MSBA were also approved and are available for viewing on Board Docs.

Next Meeting:
The next regular Board Meeting is set for April 11, 2019, at 7:00 p.m.
