The Mission of the Warren County R-III School District is to equip and empower each child to fully reach his or her potential as a lifelong learner, responsible adult, and contributing member of a diverse society.

The top three priorities of the Warren County R-III School District are:

The role of the Warren County R-III School Board is to:

  • Employ and evaluate the superintendent
  • Work collaboratively with the superintendent in managing district resources and setting monitoring short and long term goals
  • Set policy to contribute to fulfill the mission
  • Engage in ongoing, two-way conversation with the community

The role of the Superintendent is to:

  • Administer policies set forth by the board of education
  • Communicate expectations of district goals to all stakeholders
  • Develop budget and monitor spending
  • Hire and develop a quality staff
  • Be the educational leader of the district in pursuit of academic excellence
  • Work collaboratively with the school board and staff in managing district resources and setting and monitoring short and long term goals
  • Engage in an ongoing, two-way conversation with the community
