Ms. Garrison's World of Art

Art Around the World

"I firmly believe that being an effective art teacher does not only involve knowing my subject and how to teach it well, but lies in genuinely getting to know my students and directing them through key moments in their personal development. What does it mean to learn? To learn is to discover, not simply to acquire a series of skills. To learn is to grow, to develop the knowledge one had yesterday into the person that one is today. Learning means understanding the message and the mission. While attaining necessary skills in art is a crucial element, it is but one part of the education a student finds in my art classroom"

-Stephanie Garrison
