Warrior Ridge Elementary School has a clear and focused mission. Warrior Ridge Elementary School shall provide a safe child-centered environment involving school, home, and community, which shall help each child achieve his or her full potential. The Warrior Ridge Elementary Staff is committed to the school’s mission.

Warrior Ridge Elementary is a Professional Learning Community. WRE is united by a shared mission and common goals, and collaborative teams that focus on students reaching full potential. WRE staff is dedicated to actively promoting a climate of achievement, structuring strong parent partnerships, and engaging in research-based best practices.

Highlights
• Our school is a state-of-the-art elementary educating second and third graders. We integrate technology as a means to achieve curricular goals implementing smart boards, projectors, a fully equipped computer lab, and hybrid eMints technology classrooms.
• Our school has an inviting, purposeful environment that is conducive for learning. Our Positive Behavior Support Program provides an orderly school for all students.
• The number of children scoring in the top two areas on the communication arts portion of the MAP or state achievement test increased 15.3% from 27.5% in 2006 to 42.8% in 2009.
• The number of children scoring in the top two areas on the math portion of the MAP or state achievement test increased 16.1% from 19.1% in 2006 to 35.2% in 2009.
• The new reading series, Houghton Mifflin, is utilized by all teachers. The series utilizes a “balanced” reading approach. Reading instruction is explicit and systematic.
• Travelling trophies are given to staff to celebrate successes with children.
• Our PTO is very active in providing on-going support to children, parents and staff.
