Rebecca Boone Elementary School has been educating grades four and five since 1989. Our primary focus is to keep children safe and assist students to achieve at their greatest potential academically. In addition to the core curriculum, our students receive weekly instruction in art, music, library, and computer lab or counselor. Our students receive daily instruction in physical education. Rebecca Boone Elementary also has a daily 30 minute school-wide intervention for all students to either practice, enrich, or reteach the essential learner outcomes in reading and math. RBE also provides an after-school Homework Help to assist students with the completion of daily work. Both fourth and fifth graders are allowed to try for the Special Choir, which performs twice each year.
At Rebecca Boone Elementary recognizes the importance for celebrating student success and staff successes. We offer quarterly honor roll assemblies. RBE also features a school-wide math facts program, which recognizes students who have mastered their basic math facts.We also have a Character Education Program recognizing students who model specific character traits.
Highlights
• Our school has a Warrior of the Week Program recognizing our students who model the Warrior Way.
• Our staff participates in Professional Learning Community Teams. Our goal is to facilitate student learning for all of our students.
• Our school has annual Pioneer Day in the fall where community members share their special talents and interests with the students. This enables our students to participate in hands-on activities similar to the pioneers.
• Our school has an active PTO that sponsors various events for our students and staff.
