Daniel Boone Elementary School educates children in kindergarten and first grade. The staff creates a nurturing and caring environment by fostering positive teacher and student interaction. Reading is a top priority for our students and to help students be successful readers, our school has adopted the Houghton Mifflin reading series. We have combined the reading series with a strong foundation of balanced literacy traditions to give all students the opportunity to learn to read.
Daniel Boone Elementary School is excited and proud to be a part of the School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Program. The staff has set specific expectations for the students and staff in in the buildingl. The students are taught those expectations through modeling and positive reinforcement.

- Physical Education every day for 30 minutes.
- Music, Art, Counselor, or Library 40 minutes daily.
- Grade level teams collaborate weekly.
- Our PTO is very active in providing on-going support to children, parents, and staff.
