Our mission is to create an environment in which students are nurtured in a community designed to promote academic progress while meeting their physical, social, intellectual, and emotional needs.
Black Hawk Middle School offers a variety of opportunities for growth and enrichment. Our advisory program provides a framework in which our students can indulge in closer relationships, explore team building activities and participate in school-wide competitions. With exploratory classes in art, FACS, industrial technology, choir, and band, our students gain exposure to many different educational experiences. With classes such as our gifted program, honors classes, and special education, at-risk and alternative school, we offer support for the needs of every learner.
Highlights
• Our choir program is a strong program, boasting a general chorus, two sections of show choir, two sections of girl’s glee and a concert choir.
• Black Hawk Middle School offers 13 sports teams and 8 after-school clubs.
• We have computers in every classroom, three computers labs, and three eMints classrooms.
• Black Hawk Middle School has a strong PTO and Booster Program that offer support inside and outside of the classroom.
