Earlier Start Times for Students
Many students and parents will need to set alarm clocks earlier or streamline their morning routines to meet school start times which are slightly earlier this year at several area public schools.
Dismissal times also have been adjusted in many cases.
At Warrenton High School, classes will start and end five minutes earlier than last year. The new class schedule will begin at 7:40 a.m., ending at 2:30 p.m.
Morning start and afternoon dismissal times for Daniel Boone Elementary also have moved ahead slightly to 7:55 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. respectively.
Classes at Rebecca Boone Elementary will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 2:45, and Warrior Ridge Elementary will start at 7:45, ending at 2:35.
Black Hawk Middle School will begin at 7:45 a.m. and dismiss at 2:45 p.m.
In the past, riders were shuttled to the east parking area behind Daniel Boone Elementary and Black Hawk Middle School. This year, we’re eliminating the shuttle buses and after-school route buses will travel to each school to pick up riders, saving an added step, along with wait and loading time.
Buses will start at Warrenton High School then travel to Warrior Ridge Elementary. After leaving Warrior Ridge, they will pick up students at other buildings and then take students home on the normal after-school route.
