Mrs. Mueller's Classroom Management
Classroom Management Plan
Dear Families,
Daniel Boone uses a program called Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS). The three main components are to be safe, be respectful, and be responsible. Attached to this classroom management plan you will find the Daniel Boone Elementary Expectation Matrix. These are the expectations of our students at DBE. School wide you will be hearing the term “the big 3” which are also my classroom rules to be safe, respectful, and responsible. Below I have listed some rewards the kids will earn for following “the big 3.” Please discuss these rules with your child. Thank you for your support to ensure your child’s success!
Our classroom rules:
“THE BIG 3”
1. Be Safe
2. Be Respectful
3. Be Responsible
Whole school/class rewards- classes can earn “loops” from teachers for good behavior in various areas around the school building. For every 100 loops earned, our class earns a reward. When all the classes in the building earn 100 loops, there will be an entire school reward.
Individual rewards- treasure box, compliments, stickers, positive notes, awards, “caught you being good coins”, or phone calls home.
Inappropriate behavior-
Everyone starts each day with a green card
1. verbal warning (no card pulled)
2. yellow card- warning
3. orange card- 5 minutes off of free choice time
4. red card- 10 minutes off of free choice time and note or phone call to parents.
