The transportation page is a new feature that is being added to the Warren Co R-III School District Web site. In the weeks to follow we will be including the bus routes and updates of changes as they occur, new snow routes for the upcoming winter months, and other issues the may be helpful to students and parents of the school district dealing with transportation.
During this past summer the school district has invested in a new routing program that will greatly help with bus routing as our community grows. As with any new program there are problems that need to worked out and this routing system is no exception. We are getting very close to having the new program fully functional and once it is it will make route changes more quickly and accurately.
Along with the routing program the school district has added a new elementary school. The Warrior Ridge Elementary that houses second and third grade is located on Warrior Avenue just south of Warrenton. The school has presented new situations to the districts transportation department but after the initial few days of the school year these issues have been dealt with and the bus routes are running much smoother.
As the school district grows and more students will be using the school districts buses for transportation, changes will be occurring more often than in the past. All changes will be handled as quickly as possible to insure that students have a comfortable and safe ride to and from school.
