Rebecca Boone Elementary is a 2014 recipient of a Character Education Promising Practice Award for the success of the Rebecca Boone Trading Post! Promising Practice Award recipients are recognized for being successful at reinforcing character traits in PreK-12 students. They enable students to experience positive character firsthand, as well as enrich their lives and the lives of others. The Rebecca Boone Trading Post encourages students to be safe, respectful, responsible leaders at Rebecca Boone. Students can earn up to 2 Boone Bucks each day for attending school and for following school expectations. Students have the opportunity to purchase their wants and their needs, as well as shop for family members.
The community's support of the Rebecca Boone Trading Post has been overwhelming! Charitable donations arrive daily and parent volunteers work diligently to organize the stock and prepare for shopping days. The winter months always bring a tremendous need for warm clothing, coats, gloves and shoes. We thank the community for their continued generosity and support!
