Mark your calendars...snow make-up days
This is the image for the news article titled Mark your calendars...snow make-up daysSchool will be in session on January 20th, February 17th, April 21st, May 21st, May 22nd, May 23rd, May 27th, May 28th, May 29th, and May 30th to make up snow-days.

It has been a few years since our last bad winter, and the state statutes have changed in regard to snow make-up days. School districts in Missouri are required to make up their first 6 cancelled days. Starting with day 7, every other day is made up until a total of 10 make-up days is reached. Based on this statute, the very last day R-III could be in session is May 30th. Even with more snow days a possibility, the maximum snow days the district would have to make-up would is 10. This would put us at the May 30th date. Right now, the last day we are in session is May 30th. Below is a link to the statute if you would like to read it.
